• Wood's Lamp: A specialized UV lamp to detect Ringworm (infected areas fluoresce green under the light).
• Skin Scraping: A small skin sample collected to check for Scabies mites under a microscope (when needed).

Targeted Medical Therapy

• For Ringworm: Systemic antifungal oral medication and a medicated shampoo compounded by the vet.
• For Scabies: Antiparasitic injection or spot-on treatment that kills mites from within the bloodstream. Far more effective than a simple bath.
• Bacterial Infection: Antibiotics if the skin has become infected from scratching.
