Cat & Dog Vaccination Schedule 2026 (Age & Vaccine Types)

Vaccination is the cheapest "life insurance" for your pet. The cost of an annual vaccine is far less than the hospitalization cost for Panleukopenia or Parvo, which can run into millions of rupiah.

Below is a complete guide to the international vaccination standard (WSAVA) as applied in Indonesia in 2026.

Cat Vaccination Schedule (Feline)

Don't Wait Until It's Too Late!

What Happens If You Miss the Vaccine Schedule?

Pet owners often forget the annual booster. Here is the protocol:

Vaccine Side Effects (AEFI)

Post-vaccination reactions (Adverse Events Following Immunisation) are normal as the body responds to the antigens.

Normal Reactions (1–2 Days):

  • Lethargy / Sleeping more than usual
  • Slightly reduced appetite
  • Mild swelling at the injection site
  • Low-grade fever

Allergic Reactions (DANGEROUS!):

Return to the vet immediately if you notice:

  • Severe vomiting
  • Facial swelling (eyes/lips)
  • Difficulty breathing / Pale gums
  • Seizures / Loss of consciousness

Mandatory Travel Requirement (SKKH):

If you plan to travel with your pet between cities or islands (by train or plane), the absolute requirement for a Pet Health Certificate (SKKH) is a complete vaccination record with an active rabies vaccine (administered at least 2 weeks ago, no more than 1 year ago).
